• Personal Financial Literacy TEACH IT! is a resource that will support educators as they implement the standards and prepare students to thrive in the 21st Century and is vital for all students to be successful. Recent studies show that financial literacy among young people is at an all-time low, which leads directly to the need for a more focused approach to personal finance instruction for our students. We want to ensure that every child has an education that prepares them to be competent, confident and financially literate citizens. • Educators will have a one-stop shop for high quality personal financial literacy content. This workshop will model best practices for teaching financial literacy across the curriculum, provide teaching resources, and links to instructional and assessment tools. A discussion forum will facilitate an opportunity for educators to exchange ideas with colleagues that will support student learning. • The workshop connects all grade levels and disciplines. Educators will be encouraged to connect financial literacy throughout the curriculum. |
